FULLY PENETRATING ARTESIAN GRAVITY WELL
- Due to high rate of pumping, sometimes, level of water in a confined aquifer depresses below the top of the confined aquifer as shown in Fig. 7.11. In such a
- case the flow pattern near the well, upto the point (A) where draw down curve cuts the top of confine aquifer behaves gravity well. Beyond point A the flow from the well is artesian flow.
- This type of well is known as a combined artesian-gravity well.
- The flow from such a well found out using the following formula given by Muskat.
